Inks Lake Texas State Park

If it wasn't for the worst depression in the history of the country we might not have a Inks Lake State Park. Back in the early 1930's the Civilian Conservation Corps,  created to stimulate the economy, began creating a chain of lakes in Central Texas with a series of impoundments along the Colorado River. Nearby Lake Buchanan was also part of the CCC's work, as are all of the highland lakes.  Inks Lake State Park is located about 60 miles Northwest of Austin, Texas and offers excellent water activities and amazing views. It's a wonderful park to go fishing, rent canoes, and even play golf. Longhorn Caverns is only a few miles away from the park and is a great activity for the family to enjoy. Check out Inks Lake for your next Texas RV vacation. View more great information about Inks Lake State Park and the other great Texas State Parks here.
